The Community Crossing Project will take place during the spring and summer of 2024 concurrent/following aspects of the Water Project.
May 9, 2024, B & T had completed the work they needed to do at the intersection of 4th and South Street. This is work that needed to be completed in that area in advance so that paving can start for the Community Crossing Project.
May 13, 2024, Milestone has removed all (17) old sidewalk corners they have also done framing and ready to be poured tomorrow May 14, 2024. All 17- Handicap sidewalk corners will be A.D.A. compliant.
May 16, 2024, Milestone will be finishing work on the sidewalk ramps.
June 28, 2024, Milestone is back in town milling the streets to get ready for paving which is covered under the Community Crossing Grant. They have started on 6th street. They are hoping to finish milling today and start paving on Monday July 1st, 2024.
July 1, 2024, Milestone is here is Gosport this morning to start paving the 7 blocks. They start on 6th St. this morning and should finish all paving today (July 1, 2024).
July 2, 2024, Milestone has finished all 7 blocks of the paving that was to be done for the Community Crossing Project.
